About Us

LATERAL FILM is a team of professionals developing video communication projects through every stage of the process: from concept development and production to post-production.

It is a creative laboratory founded in Milan in 2008 by director Davide Del Mare, an author and producer who combines his work as a director with a direct understanding of the entire production process.

“Thinking outside the box” is the way LATERAL FILM approaches every project: seeking new perspectives, experimenting with languages and technologies, and finding, each time, the most effective way to bring an idea to life.

Over the years, LATERAL FILM has established itself in the industry by creating video projects for:

CINEMA

expressing its artistic potential in productions, both on commission and independently, of fiction, documentaries, feature films and short films, collaborating with local and international realities;
TV

creating television formats for private and public networks, commercials for creative agencies or directly for the end customer, branded content, video products of theatrical performances intended for on-demand platforms;
CORPORATE

creating media paths for internal training, corporate and institutional videos, masterclasses, motion graphics, backstage events, interviews with managers and sit-comedies for the internal dissemination of corporate messages and values;
WEB

producing optimized content for social networks (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitch,…), branded content, web-series, web adv for companies or products, promotional videos, podcasts and music videos.

Ai Lab

Ai Lab is LATERAL FILM’s space dedicated to new production workflows integrating generative artificial intelligence, live action and post-production.

Each pipeline is developed around the specific needs of the project, working both with fully generated content and with original photographs, images and footage that can be transformed, extended and integrated through AI while preserving visual continuity and creative control.

A hybrid, highly customizable approach, built each time around a specific identity, visual language and set of creative and production requirements.
